Physics 103/104: Concepts of Physics
A brief survey of the principles of physics, this compact, mostly qualitative and conceptual introduction to physics is intended especially for students who lack the time or mathematical prerequisites for one of the two-semester physics courses.   The course includes an optional laboratory component for which students may register separately (Physics 104).     PHY103 Syllabus

Physics 221/222: General Physics
A two-semester introductory physics course intended especially for students majoring in engineering, mathematics, physics, and chemistry.   Calculus is a prerequisite, and elementary calculus concepts and methods are used freely.   PHY221 Syllabus         PHY222 Syllabus
Physics 111/112: Introduction to Physics
A two-semester course that requires no mathematics beyond basic algebra and some elementary trigonometry concepts developed in the course itself.   Typically required for admission to professional programs in medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, optometry, and chiropractic.   Often recommended for students majoring in biological sciences, and a good choice for others as a laboratory science or as an elective.   PHY111 Syllabus PHY112 Syllabus
